Earlier this year, we got news of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle leaving the British Royal Kingdom to settle in California and start a new life. Well, it seems like they’ve now got a taste for Hollywood. According to The New York Times, the Duke and Duchess have inked a multi-year deal with streaming giant Netflix.
No, it isn’t a reality show showcasing their new lives, but a more meaningful and large-scale operation. The couple have reportedly started an unnamed production company. The tie-up with Netflix will allow the streaming platform to fund various feature films, docu-series, documentaries, scripted shows and children’s programs.
Meghan Markle doesn’t have plans on returning in front of the camera, but the couple may feature in a documentary together.
“Our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope,” the couple said in a statement. “As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us.” They added that Netflix’s “unprecedented reach will help us share impactful content that unlocks action.”
