With many businesses now opening up slowly amidst the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the plan for the world’s first ever socially distanced music festival has been announced, which is slated to kick off this August in Northern Ireland.

The upcoming event is organised by Stendhal Festival that will run with strict hygiene and social distancing measures to prevent the spread of new coronavirus cases. It is yet to receive government approval but it is currently proposed to take place at Ballymutty Cottage Farm from August 21 to 22 and August 28 to 29, with a capacity between 500 to 1,000 people above 21 years old.

The attendees will be able to choose between weekend camping and non-camping tickets and the event site features a camping area where strictly two people from the same household can share a tent. Other precautions include frequent temperature checks and distances between queues and campsites.
