Indian Women’s team is set to tour England for one Test, three ODIs, and three T20s. This would be the first time in seven years that they would be playing a Test match. India last played a Test match in 2014 against England itself, where they were humiliated and battered. India’s new look would undoubtedly be looking for redemption, and hoping to cause an upset over the mighty English. Indian Women’s team has a new head coach, Ramesh Powar, who has been reappointed after he was replaced due to a fallout with veteran Mithali Raj. This means the Indian team may have a few issues to deal with before they leave for England.

Since both the Indian Men’s and Women’s teams are touring England, both teams will go through a chartered BCCI plane, only for the players. This has been done for the safety and security of the players and for maintaining the secure bio bubble. Both the teams will have to get tested before boarding the flight to England. If a player returns a positive result in the test, he/she will not be boarding the plane with the team. This is why both men and women teams have so many players in stand-by and the main squad. They are set to leave for England in the last week of May, and are scheduled for a week in quarantine upon arrival. Only after that will they be allowed to train outdoors.
