T hose unsure of how Italian designer Riccardo Tisci would lend his design sensibilities to the quintessentially British fashion house Burberry — of which he has been appointed Chief Creative Officer recently — took to Instagram to view the first few looks of the brand’s new campaign. The edit, titled ‘B Classic’, pays homage to Burberry’s heritage with well-known styles like trench coats, ponchos and car coats. Tisci wrote in his Instagram post: “I wanted to celebrate the beauty, heritage and legacy that I discovered when I first arrived at Burberry. ‘B Classic’ is an edit that I’ve curated to honour the icons of the House — pieces like the trench coat, the quilted jacket, the car coat, the kilt — which sits at the heart of the SS19 pre collection designed by the fantastic Burberry design team.”
