The year was 2012 when Frederique Constant unveiled its first Classics Worldtimer Manufacture watch. Immediately after its release, the watch took on the position as one of the most sold timepieces in record-breaking time for the brand. A timepiece dedicated to the art of travel and exploration, the Classics Worldtimer Manufacture has been an icon of the brand for many years and transcends borders and crosses continents.

The 2022 Versions of the Classics Worldtimer Manufacture

Presented in a deep blue, fine sunray guilloché dial that represents the ocean of the central planisphere, the two new watches commemorating the 10th anniversary are exceptional in their way. The dial is home to luminescent indexes and hands that offer extreme legibility in the dark. Adding to its “travel watch” terminology is the white disc displaying 24 cities that unfolds in the flange and a date window at 6 o’clock.

The two models are available in a 42mm case structure made from 18K pink gold or stainless-steel material. The former is limited to just 88 pieces, and the latter is available in a 1,888-piece limited edition.

At the heart of the two watches is the automatic FC-718 calibre manufacture movement with a 38-hour power reserve. The movement offers the watch a worldtimer complication that is used to instantly read the exact time in the 24 cities representing the 24 reference time zones. Additionally, one of the best qualities of the Classic Worldtimer watch is its simplicity. Its indications are adjusted with just a single crown, courtesy of the brand’s three notch system. The first winds the watch. The second adjusts the date (upwards) and the reference city (downwards). The third adjusts the time in the central display. The local time (with the central hands) and home time (with the mobile flange) allows ease in reading time quickly.

The creation of exclusive NFTs of the Classics Worldtimer Manufacture is handled by Rarecubes, a Geneva-based studio specialised in blockchain technology. As of now, there is not much information available, but the brand mentioned more details of the same to be available on the official Frederique Constant website soon.
