Smart watches for men aren’t what they used to be. At first, tech giants like Apple and Samsung decided to ride the smart watch wave and create their own examples. But traditional watchmakers saw the opportunity and jumped in too. Fossil is a brand that went from making traditional watches to pioneering the smart watch industry. Brands like Diesel joined in earlier this year and now, Armani decided to as well.

The Armani Exchange Connected is the brand’s first touchscreen smartwatch with Google Wear OS. But just like the Diesel On Full Guard 2.5, this one too doesn’t come with the new Snapdragon 3100 but instead, comes with the older Snapdragon 2100.

The design of the watch is made to look like a proper analogue watch, which is something Samsung and Fossil have been doing with their new watches.  It is available in gold, black, silver, and coal colours. The case is quite large at 46mm — only a millimeter smaller than the Diesel On Full Guard 2.5 — making it look modern, without hogging too much of your wrist. The screen on the exchange connected is a 1.2-inch crisp AMOLED screen.

Talking about the features, the watch comes with a heart rate sensor on the back and GPS inside so you don’t need your phone. NFC helps to use apps like Google Pay instead of taking out your card and the watch is swimproof. Of course, it wouldn’t be a smart watch if it didn’t have water resistance. Google’s Wear OS operating system is installed, complete with Google Assistant, and it should be getting an update to the new version of the software sometime soon, which promises to greatly improve the system. The 300mAh battery will last you for a day before needing a recharge.

If its a fashion smart watch that you’d love to sport during a corporate meeting, then this is the one for you. For those who were looking to take this to the gym and do proper smart watch fitness tracking, we suggest you keep searching for better smart watches.
