Every two years, Frédérique Constant revisits one of its longest-running partnerships in watchmaking, and 2025’s Classics Vintage Rally Healey releases feel especially sharp. This time, the Geneva-based brand brings us not one, but two limited editions; each tipping its hat to the Austin-Healey racing heritage that’s been central to this line since 2004. With 1,888 pieces of each configuration produced, these are designed as much for collectors as they are for those who simply appreciate vintage-inspired sport watches done right.

The first model takes a compact approach with a 36mm steel case and a sunburst “Healey blue” dial, with a tone lifted straight from the metallic paintwork of the Austin-Healey 3000 MKII BM7. At a glance, it feels balanced and approachable, with applied luminous indexes, a large “12” marker, and a discreet date window that doesn’t compete with the rest of the dial. A flash of red on the seconds hand injects just enough sportiness without throwing off the vintage aesthetic. The solid caseback carries a Healey engraving, as it has since the collection’s early days, tying the story neatly together.

For those who prefer something a little louder, the second release comes in a 42mm steel case with an open back and a chronograph complication. It carries the same Healey blue dial and navy flange but adds dual counters for running seconds and a 30-minute register. On the wrist, it leans decidedly more modern—assertive without feeling oversized—and sits on a navy calfskin strap with contrasting white stitching that plays nicely against the dial tones.

Both editions are well executed for their price point, offering plenty of heritage without leaning on nostalgia too heavily. The details matter here; the dials feel crisp, the Healey branding is integrated cleanly, and there’s an overall sense of restraint despite the motorsport inspiration. If anything, these watches prove that not every automotive collaboration needs to scream for attention. Sometimes, a nod is enough.
