Change In DRSUp until now, the teams could challenge the on-field umpire's decision only in case of dismissal. But now the bowling side will be allowed to review the decision for wides and no-balls.

This rule has already been implemented in the ongoing WPL, and it made a huge difference in one of the games.

Impact PlayerMuch like football; cricket will also have substitution now, though it will be known as Impact Player. This rule will be implemented for the first time in men's cricket in IPL 2023.

How Will Impact Player WorkTeams can replace their playing XI with an Impact player during the start or end of an innings, the beginning of an over, or after a dismissal.

Since a team can only have four overseas players in the playing XI, the replacement player will have to be Indian if the team has already named four players in the startling line-up.
