Dani Almo's strike in the 11th minute against Costa Rica made Spain the sixth nation to score over 100 goals in the FIFA World Cup. Spain won the match 7-0, the most one-sided scoreline in the tournament so far.

Spain now has 102 goals in the World Cup history. But, there are five other nations who have scored more goals than La Rojas. We take a look at all of them.

#5 France, 124 Goals France, the defending champion, is ranked fifth in the list. From the days of Michele Platini in the 80s to Thierry Henry in the early noughties to Olivier Giroud in the present era, Les Bleus has always been blessed with decorated strikers.

#4 Italy, 128 Goals Italy, unfortunately, failed to qualify for this year's World Cup, despite winning the Euro Cup last year. Although known for their stout defending, they have always been a lethal team in front of goal.

#3 Argentina, 138 goals Argentina, the two-time world champion, are ranked third in the list. After losing their first game against Saudi Arabia, Lionel Messi's team will need a handful of goals in their next two matches to qualify for the next round.

#2 Germany, 227 Goals Two of the top three goalscorers in the World Cup are from Germany: Gerd Muller and Miroslav Klose. It's not a surprise that Germany is one of the two teams to net over 200 goals in the tournament.

#1 Brazil, 229 Goals Brazil, the most successful team in the tournament, has also scored the most number of goals. They will be seen in action later tonight, in their opening game against Serbia.
