This year’s transfer market has been interesting, to say the least, with high-profile names moving across clubs and bagging multi-million-dollar worth contracts. With the season about to kick off in the next week, we’ve taken a look at some of the highest-paid players in the English Premier League. However, it should be noted that since clubs do not release their wage reports, most of the numbers here are sourced from different reports and might or might not be inclusive of added bonuses and image rights.

Mohamed SalahArguably the best player in the world in the last few years, Mohamed Salah’s presence has been instrumental in Liverpool’s recent success, winning the Champions League, Premier League title, FA Cup, League Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and more. Not surprisingly, the Egyptian commands a salary of nearly £350,000 per week.

Raphael VaraneWorld Cup-winning defender Raphael Varane joined Manchester United after winning a whopping five Champions League titles with Real Madrid. Considered to be one of the best defenders of all time, the former French national commands a salary of nearly £350,000 per week.

Raheem SterlingAfter a string of EPL titles, England international Raheem Sterling made a big move to Chelsea last summer, signing a five-year contract with the London-based team. While he hasn’t been able to find his form at the Bridge yet, Sterling reportedly is paid around £350,000 per week.

Erling HaalandPerhaps no one has had an instant impact like Erling Haaland in their first season. The 22-year-old Norwegian star bagged a record 34 goals in a single Premier League campaign, securing a treble for the blue side of Manchester. While Haaland’s transfer fee and wages are still a thing of mystery, it is reported that the striker gets paid somewhere around £340,000 per week.

Kevin de BruyneIf it wasn’t for Messi’s World Cup win, Manchester City’s Kevin de Bruyne was arguably the biggest shout for this year’s Ballon d'Or. The 31-year-old has been more instrumental than Haaland in City’s recent success. No surprise then, the midfielder rakes in around £340,000 per week, as per reports
