Martin Guptill vs AustraliaOn a batting heaven of Eden Park, Martin Guptill smashed a 49-ball century to propel New Zealand to 243/6 in 20 overs. But they still lost the game. Australia fought fire with fire and chased down the target with seven balls remaining.

Misbah-ul-Haq vs IndiaMisbah-ul-Haq almost won it for Pakistan, if not for that scoop that he tried to play in the last over. Pakistan had slipped far too behind in the game, but Misbah, with his 38-ball 43 single-handedly kept the game alive. It remains his most iconic knock in T20Is.

Virat Kohli vs Sri LankaIf not for Virat Kohli's intervention, India wouldn't have scored even 100 runs in the T20I World Cup 2013/14 final against Sri Lanka. While the rest of the batters couldn't even cross the 30-run mark, Kohli looked at ease and scored 77 off 58 deliveries. India lost the game by six runs.

Kane Williamson vs AustraliaKane Williamson played a brilliant knock in the T20 World Cup 2021 final but New Zealand still lost the game. Williamson scored 85 off 48 deliveries to propel his team to 172. Australia then rode on the fifties from David Warner and Mitchell Marsh to chase the target and win their first T20 World Cup.

Suryakumar Yadav vs EnglandEarlier this year, Suryakumar Yadav notched his first international century, against England. He scored 117 off just 55 deliveries but it was not enough, and India lost the match by 17 runs.
