What do an Rs 1.92 lakh Pulsar, a 680hp Aston Martin, and a million-dollar import bill from Tesla have in common? They all dropped news this week. Whether you're team ICE or quietly judging your neighbours for not driving electric yet, here’s the weekly update that’ll keep you smug at the next coffee stop.
Tesla Confirms First India Showroom Opening July 15
After years of ghosting us, Tesla has officially committed. The brand’s first showroom — sorry, “Experience Centre” — opens in Mumbai’s BKC on July 15, with Delhi likely next. For now, it’s just a fancy showroom and test cars, with actual deliveries still some time away.
Tesla will only sell fully imported models for now, attracting a steep 110% import duty. The first launch is likely to be the facelifted Model Y, which has already been spotted testing here. Despite its slow courtship with India, Tesla has quietly hired for retail and service roles — and imported over a million dollars’ worth of cars, chargers, and accessories.
International-spec KTM 390 Enduro R Launched
KTM finally gave purists what they wanted — the full-fat, export-spec 390 Enduro R with proper long-travel suspension. Priced at Rs 3.54 lakh, it adds 30mm of suspension travel and 35mm to the seat height, returning the bike to its intended dirt-slaying form.
It still runs the same 399cc engine, Mitas tyres and 9-litre tank. And while it’s no hardcore enduro, this version makes a stronger case for off-road enthusiasts who hated the softened India-spec setup.
Maserati Unveils Sharper MC20 MCPura at Goodwood
Maserati took its already-stunning MC20 and gave it a sharper, more aero-obsessed cousin: the MCPura. The mechanicals remain the same — 630hp Nettuno V6, carbon monocoque, butterfly doors — but the styling is more aggressive, with design cues from Maserati’s GT2 race car and over 3,000 hours of aero testing.
Also available as a convertible, dubbed MCPura Cielo, this one’s a visual upgrade with aerodynamic fine-tuning to match.
Aston Martin Vantage S Unveiled
Aston Martin’s new Vantage S is a proper step up. Power is now 680hp (up 15hp), the chassis is stiffer and sharper, and the aero package means business — including a rear spoiler that adds 44kg of downforce on its own.
Suspension tweaks, a reworked throttle, and reduced rear spring stiffness aim to make it more usable without dulling its edge. Visually, it’s marked by subtle 'S' badging, new wheels, and red-accented touches inside and out.
Triumph Scrambler 400 XC’s Spoke Wheels Price Revealed
Bajaj has priced the Scrambler 400 XC impressively — especially when you realise its imported spoke wheels cost Rs 71,751 on their own. These cross-spoke rims allow tubeless tyres and are usually found on much larger ADV bikes.
Existing Scrambler 400 X owners can retrofit them, though they’ll lose spoke warranty. Either way, Triumph and Bajaj are pulling off serious value at Rs 2.94 lakh.
Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z Launched
Bajaj wasn’t messing around with the 2025 update to its biggest Pulsar. The NS400Z now makes 43hp, runs on Apollo radial tyres, has a higher redline, and comes with a bidirectional quickshifter — the first on a Bajaj.
Also new are sharper brake pads, a revised Sport mode, and updated graphics. At Rs 1.92 lakh, it’s just Rs 7,000 more than before, but feels like a different animal.
Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS Gets Softer Suspension, More Power
The 2025 Speed Triple 1200 RS finally gets electronic Öhlins suspension, addressing complaints about its too-stiff ride. Power climbs to 183hp, thanks to a new exhaust, and Triumph has added a steering damper, lighter wheels, and better tyres.
Also worth noting: you can now tweak wheelie control independent of traction control. At Rs 20.39 lakh, it’s pricier — but still the most affordable Euro supernaked in India.
Triumph Trident 660 Gets Major Updates
Triumph has quietly turned the Trident 660 into an even better deal. For 2025, it now comes standard with a bidirectional quickshifter, Bluetooth, cruise control, and an added Sport mode.
The front fork is also upgraded to a Showa Big Piston unit for better feedback. Power remains the same at 81hp, but for Rs 8.49 lakh, this now feels like a significantly more premium middleweight.
Mahindra Launches XUV 3XO REVX – ₹8.94 Lakh
Mahindra adds a new REVX variant with a sportier look, body-coloured grille, black wheels and black leatherette interiors. Powered by the 1.2 TGDi engine, with manual and automatic options topping out at ₹12.99 lakh.
Kia Carens Clavis EV Likely To Be Launched On July 15
Kia’s Carens Clavis EV is expected to pack battery packs borrowed from the Creta EV (42 kWh and 51.4 kWh) with up to 473km of range. Expect subtle design changes, aero wheels and a dual-screen 10.25-inch display layout inside.
MG M9 MPV Launch Likely On July 21
MG’s first MPV, the M9, is massive — longer than the Carnival, and electric. Features include massage seats, panoramic sunroof, 12-speaker audio, and more. Bookings open at ₹51,000. This one aims straight at Toyota’s and Kia’s luxury vans.
