Jeep India has updated its off-road-oriented Jeep Compass Trailhawk SUV. The Compass Trailhawk SUV has been priced at Rs 30.72 lakh, a premium of around Rs 1.38 lakh above the standard S diesel automatic Compass.

Design-wise, the updated Jeep Compass Trailhawk does not look very different from the standard Compass. It does, however, come with some distinctive cosmetic elements such as a revised front grille, sleeker LED projector headlamps and a completely blacked-out front bumper, with a silver bash plate.

Jeep has carried over the all-black theme on to the wheel arches and the 17-inch alloy wheels as well. Speaking of which, the wheels now come wrapped in off-road friendly, all-terrain tyres. At the back of the Trailhawk, you’ll also notice a rear tow hook and LED tail-lights.

Inside the cabin, there’s the 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system taking the centre stage on the dashboard. It comes with smartphone connectivity features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Then there’s an additional 10.2-inch fully digital instrument console for necessary driver aid information.

The feature list on the updated Compass Trailhawk is quite extensive. Features include dual-zone climate control, a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, a 9-speaker sound system, auto headlamps and wipers and a panoramic sunroof. The Trailhawk SUV gets additional off-road friendly features such as different drive modes with a rock mode, dynamic steering torque, and frequency selective damping suspension.

Safety is handled by six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), electronic roll mitigation and hill hold assist.

Under the hood, the 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine, which produces 172hp and 350Nm of torque. It is paired to a 9-speed automatic gearbox that sendspower to all four wheels.

Jeep claims, the 4×4 Trailhawk “has been fine-tuned to provide the best blend of on-road and off-road ride and comfort.” We’ll soon be putting these claims to test in our in-depth review. Stay tuned for more.
