The 2024 Kia Carens has once again emerged as a formidable contender in the MPV market with an expansive refresh. The prices for the 2024 Kia Carens, ranging from Rs. 10.52 lakh to Rs. 19.67 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), reaffirm the range and depth of the lineup. 

The refreshed model lineup includes six new options, notably the reintroduction of the diesel manual. The versatile engine selection has been carried forward for the 2024 lineup too:

• A 1.5-litre diesel engine that offers 116PS and 250Nm of torque, available with a choice of a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed iMT (clutchless manual), or a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
• A 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, delivering 115PS and 144Nm of torque, paired exclusively with a 6-speed manual transmission.
• A 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, generating 160PS and 253Nm of torque, available with a 6-speed iMT or an optional 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. 

In terms of features, the 2024 Carens has taken a massive step forward. The introduction of the Prestige (O) variant at Rs. 12.12 lakh (ex-showroom) brings in smart keys, push-button start, rear LED lights, a leatherette-wrapped gear knob, LED DRLs, and positioning lamps. The Prestige +(O) variant additionally features a sunroof, LED map lamp, and room lamp. The top-tier X-Line trim now includes a dashcam, all windows auto up & down with voice commands, and a 7-seater option, marking significant upgrades in convenience and versatility. Aesthetic enhancements are limited to the introduction of the Pewter Olive shade, expanding the color palette to include eight monotone, three dual-tone options, and an exclusive color for the X-Line variant.

However, the Carens faces stiff competition from rivals such as the Maruti Suzuki XL6, Hyundai Alcazar, Toyota Innova Crysta, Mahindra Marazzo, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, and Toyota Rumion. Even though each competitor brings a unique set of features, performance capabilities, and value propositions, the 2024 Kia Carens, with its extensive lineup and feature-rich variants, is well-equipped to make a significant impact, reaffirming Kia's stronghold in the country.
