Mercedes-Benz India chalks out a plan about its new launches at the beginning of every year, and this year too, they have revealed what’s in store for the consumers in 2021. This year, not only these models but also others like the GLA will be launched from quarter two. Mercedes-Benz India says that from January-December 2020, it managed to sell 7893 cars and claims to retain its leadership position for six years in a row. The volumes driver remained the C-Class, E-Class LWB, GLC, GLE as well as GLS cars. The company says that there was an overwhelming demand for the new GLE, GLS and few variants of the GLC, C- Class.

Mercedes was scheduled to bring in the A-Class Limousine and the second-generation GLA in 2020, but COVID-19 forced it to delay the official launch. While bookings have commenced in early 2020, expect both these products to kickstart the launching spree this year. The Stuttgart-based carmaker will bring in the A-Class Limousine in April, and follow it up with the launch of the all-new GLA.

Mercedes has also confirmed the 720bhp AMG GT Black Series, featuring the most-powerful production AMG V8 for India. Other key launches from the three-pointed star include the E- Class facelift, which broke cover globally in March last year. The all-new S-Class will also be launched in India towards the end of the year.

Last year, Mercedes Benz showed increased focus in terms of online sales. The company sold
as many as 900 units via its online platform.
