Called the Levante Hybrid and the MC20, the duo will likely debut in the Q2 and Q3 of 2022.
Buckle-up, gearheads! Maserati has something special in store for us this year. The Italian marquee is set to launch not, but two brand new models – the Levante and the Hybrid And MC20, in the second quarter of 2022.
Out of the two, the Levante Hybrid looks more “practical,” with its SUV design and classy Azzurro Astro blue paint scheme. But don’t mistake it for boring. Take a look under the hood and you’ll find a 2-liter turbocharged petrol engine, paired with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. Combine, both put out 330PS of power and 450Nm of torque. The Levante Hybrid can reach a top speed of 240kmph and can cover 0-100kmph in 6 seconds!
This brings us to the MC20, and let’s just say everything about it just screams performance. Designed like the poster of a sports car you had on your wall, the MC20 is a head-turner from every angle. Maserati claims its 3.0L V6 engine is “derived from patented technology in F1,” which helps it in putting out 630PS of power. The MC20 can sprint from naught to 100kmph in merely 2.9 seconds, with a top speed of over 325kmph.
But don’t be fooled by its appearance. Thanks to a monocoque carbon fiber frame, the MC20 is extremely light on its feet at 1500kg, that’s less than some of the hatchbacks sold here!
Being a Maserati, both the cars come with premium interiors and all the creature comforts you can imagine. This includes Maserati Connect technology, which can sync with your phone, smartwatch, or an AI assistant like Alexa.
The Maserati Levante Hybrid is expected to be launched in the second quarter of 2022, with an estimated price of Rs 1.60 crore (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the MC20 will debut in India by Q3 of 2022, with an estimated price of Rs 3.5 crore (ex-showroom)
