Mumbai Will Host India’s First Ever Custom Helmet Art Exhibition This Weekend

Along with Indian motor artists, the exhibition will also have artists from around the globe

If you’re in Mumbai this weekend, there is a great art exhibition you should definitely think of attending. No, it isn’t a collection of paintings by a renowned artist, but actually, a little different from all the other art exhibitions you must have been to. But don’t expect to see canvas paintings hung on walls in this art exhibition.

India’s first custom helmet art exhibition is set to take place this Sunday, on March 24. The exhibition will be bringing more than 20 artists from across the globe under one roof, to customize helmets in their own unique and creative styles.

Eimor Customs, IRONic, Mallika Prakash, Moto Machao and Womeneoteric Customs will be representing India. International artists like D*Face, Magnus Walker and Steve Caballero are also set to join them.

The exhibition aims to raise awareness among Indians when it comes to road safety. It also wants to make the concept of helmets cooler and help you look at it as more of a fashion accessory, like your clothes or shoes.

The “Moto Art Show – Helmets for India” exhibition will be the first of its kind in India. The customized art helmets will be part of a traveling global exhibit that will be inaugurated at a special exhibition organized by Moto Art Show, an art events organization based in Bangalore that focuses on motorcycle art and artists. After their debut at Moto Art Show, the art helmets will travel to other well known motorcycle events around the globe and will be auctioned off at the end of 2019 to raise funds that will be used to support a non-profit working in this area in India.

But Helmets for India don’t just plan on spreading awareness just in Mumbai. A group of like-minded moto-artists will set ff on a road trip from Mumbai to Goa. The team will start off on March 25 from the Gateway of India, ride through Pune, along the coast and end the week long ride in Goa.
