Our OG source of Bollywood-related gossip is Koffee with Karan, and the 7th season of the talk show has been quite entertaining so far. On the third episode of the show, host Karan Johar invited Akshay Kumar and Samantha Ruth Prabhu to the couch. Just like the unusual pairing of the two stars, the episode also had its highs and lows. 

Kumar and Ruth Prabhu spilled the beans on many controversial topics. While the South diva discussed her sour relationship with her ex-husband, Naga Chaitanya, Kumar opened up about a variety of topics too. He talked about how he does not care about the rumours that are started about him online and just wishes to continue his work. 

The two stars were quite charming on the couch and their camaraderie was something that we have never seen before. Kumar made Ruth Prabhu laugh a lot, and even let her have the expensive gift hamper after she lost the rapid-fire round. The two danced, shared secrets, and managed to put up an entertaining episode with, of course, Karan Johar adding to the drama. 

The episode, which premiered yesterday, has also gotten the highest viewership, and people are raving about how good Akshay Kumar and Samantha Ruth Prabhu were on the show. However, a section of people feels Kumar’s behaviour towards Ruth Prabhu was unwarranted. During a segment on the episode, the actor is seen lifting Ruth Prabhu and spinning her to show how people in Bollywood dance. The actress is given no prior notice by Kumar, leaving her shocked after the incident. 

People felt that Kumar’s behaviour was not proper and expressed their abhorrence towards the act. Here’s how they reacted:

Workwise, Kumar will be seen in Raksha Bandhan next. The film is all set to release in theatres on August 11, 2022. The film also features Bhumi Pednekar, Sadia Khateeb, Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna and Smrithi Srikanth. He will also be seen in OMG 2 – Oh My God! 2. The film will also star Pankaj Tripathi, Yami Gautam and Arun Govil. The actor also has Selfiee with Emraan Hashmi.

As for Ruth Prabhu, she revealed that she recently worked on a commercial with Ranveer Singh. She also has a film with Vijay Deverakonda lined up.
