Not just his films, but what makes Karan Johar a hot topic of discussion, every time, is his controversial talk show – Koffee With Karan . Many stars have, intentionally or not, talked about things that become news in no time. Johar has his ways of compelling people to spill the beans on their deepest secrets, eventually becoming a nationwide gossip. Some fall prey to his chatty tactic, while others have savage replies ready for him. 

Sometimes, people who have not even been on the couch, have something to say about the show. Recently, Taapsee Pannu shared why she thinks she has never been invited to the KWK couch. “My sex life is not interesting enough to be invited on Koffee with Karan,” she recently told a journalist. Even Kartik Aaryan took a jibe at the show. When asked recently about the one thing he is extremely proud of. He said, “That I’m popular among rapid-fire shows,” referring to Koffee With Karan’s episode with Sara Ali Khan and Jahnvi Kapoor.

While these indirect jibes are interesting to decipher, what makes for a rather more important list is the time when celebrities have been savage on the couch. AAMIR KHAN

In the latest episode of KWK 7, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Aamir Khan graced the couch to promote their upcoming film – Laal Singh Chaddha. While talking to the host, Khan made sure to take a jibe or two at Johar. He started by mocking the filmmaker’s loud parties to then making fun of how he always likes to create controversy every time someone arrives on the couch. 

TWINKLE KHANNA

Khanna can be a really savage person and she clearly did not mince words when she arrived on the couch. When Karan quizzed her about the meanest thing anyone has ever said about her writing, Khanna quickly responded, “When you started writing columns they said K Jo is the new Mrs. Funnybones. I didn’t want my standards to go so down.”

KANGANA RANAUT

The nepotism debate gained more prominence from the KWK couch when Ranaut arrived to promote her film. She not only tagged him as a ‘snooty flag bearer of nepotism’ and ‘movie mafia’, but also trolled him for not understanding what poverty really is. During the rapid-fire round, the actress was asked, “Would you rather find true love and be poor or be rich and single?”. She savagely replied, “Your idea of poverty is very different from my idea of poverty.”

KONKANA SEN

Many actors have trolled Johar for his acting, but Sen won the game when she make fun of his role in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. She was asked to name the most overrated actor in Bollywood. She replied saying, “Karan in DDLJ”.

MIRA RAJPUT KAPOOR

Shahid Kapoor’s wife was one of the best guests on the show and she did not leave a single chance to take a dig at KJo. She counter-questioned the filmmaker and asked him to rank actors in order of talent. She took Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Sidharth Malhotra, Arjun Kapoor, and Aditya Roy Kapur but her husband. Baffled by her suggestions, Shahid asks her, “Why am I not on that list?” To which, she savagely replies, “Because he (KJo) never asks, he never mentions you in any of his lists.”
