Many fans were upset when Karan Johar announced that he won’t be returning with another season on Koffee With Karan. However, he revealed that he wasn’t serious about it and there indeed will be a season 7, but on a different platform. Johar shared a promo of the new season and there might be a hint about who all we will be seeing on the couch. 

The promo shows old clips from previous seasons and we get to see Priyanka Chopra, Ranbir Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and more celebs on the couch. While there has been no confirmation about who is arriving on the hot seat, rumour has it that these stars might be arriving on the show. 

Rumours also suggest that Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh or Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan may be the first guests on the show. Gorgeous Sushmita Sen and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan might also be gracing the show. Ananya Panday and Vijay Deverakonda, who star in Dharma’s film Liger, may also be seen in the film. 

Interestingly, Johar recently told how Ranbir Kapoor has asked the filmmaker to not make him appear on the latest season of Koffee With Karan. The filmmaker told Film Companion, “Ranbir Kapoor has already told me ‘I am not coming on your show’. He is like, ‘I’d have to pay the price for too long. I should not do this to myself’.” Imitating the Brahmastra star, Johar added, “Mujhe please show pe mat bulao (Please do not invite me to your show).”

A few weeks ago, the director shared a few pictures from the sets of Koffee With Karan season 7 and wrote a sweet note that read, “Started season 7 of #koffeewithkaran … it’s been 18 years since I first started this show … I can’t believe I have been Brewing this Kuppa for so long ! Thank you for all the love! Watch this space for details!”. We cannot wait to finally see who is going to be on the show.

Koffee With Karan will air from July 7th, 2022 on Disney+ Hotstar.
