Earlier today, filmmaker Karan Johar shared the teaser of one of his upcoming projects Screw Dheela. He put down all the speculations to rest which were doing the rounds for the past few weeks. In his usual style, Tiger Shroff, who is in the lead, is seen in action-packed scenes in the trailer. While the trailer begins with him saying that he is a physical education teacher, by the end of it, we witness a complete transformation of the character. Director and producer Shashank Khaitan who has previously directed films like 2017’s Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, 2018’s Dhadhak, and a segment of 2020’s Ajeeb Daastaans would be directing this film. Khaitan has been associated with Johar for quite some time now.

According to reports, Shroff has been paired with actress Rashmika Mandana in this film. While another report states that since Shroff is playing a wacky character in the film that is why a name like this was chosen. The film is supposed to be shot in India and across a few locations in Europe. Other details like who else is in the cast and what is the budget etc are still awaited.  

Before this, Johar and Shroff worked together in Student Of The Year 2, which is a very ambitious franchise for Dharma Productions. Talking about choosing Shroff for his movie he had said that what he can do no one else can and he couldn’t have thought about someone else.  

This year Shroff had only one release in Heropanti 2, which didn’t perform as well as it was expected to at the box office. The movie also starred Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Tara Sutaria, but it failed to impress the audience and critics. On the other hand, Johar has quite a few movies in the pipeline like Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, Brahmastra  , Govinda Naam Mera and Mr Aur Mrs Mahi. In fact, his show Koffee With Karan also returned to the small screen after a two-year hiatus.
