Artistes don’t always get their due credit. Sometimes, a simple poem can become viral and travel through thousands of phones, but the creator may never get to reap the rewards of it. That’s what happened with Tisha Agarwal, whose viral poem reached none other than Amitabh Bachchan, but without her name on it.

Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has a loyal following on Twitter. The actor loves to post poems by himself, his late father Harishvansh Rai Bachchan, and even other poets he comes across.

Recently, Bachchan decided to share another poem with his 49 million followers. The poem was about preparing a special kind of tea by using happiness, imagination and laughter as ingredients. The tweet got 16,000 likes and a thousand comments. One comment was by woman named Tisha Agarwal, who said that the poem was originally written by her and wished she was credited for it.

Agarwal wrote, “Sir, seeing my poem on your wall is a matter of great fortune for me. My happiness and pride would have been double had you given me the credit for it. Looking forward to your response,” she wrote.

To her surprise, the actor replied to her, apologising for the mistake. “Tisha ji, I just came to know that one of the tweets that I shared was your poem. I apologize, I did not know it. Someone sent me this on my Twitter or WhatsApp, I liked it, and I published it. I apologize,” he wrote.
