Celebrated Netflix series, The Queen’s Gambit’s  actress Anya Taylor-Joy has reportedly tied the knot with her boyfriend, Malcolm MacRae. The couple might have said ‘I Do’ during an intimate ceremony that took place inside a courthouse in the US, soon after which Taylor-Joy returned to work. The 26-year-old actress is currently shooting for the film Furiosa in Australia, which is the prequel to Max Mad: Fury Road. According to sources, the newlywed couple has an elaborate reception planned for when she wraps up the shoot.

It was just a month ago in June that the actor, who also appeared in Emma , was spotted flaunting her green diamond ring. Even though the couple has been together for a year, they’ve categorically remained tight-lipped about their relationship.

As per reports, Taylor-Joy and MacRae started dating in 2021, which got further confirmed when the former addressed MacRae as her partner in an interview in April that year. Since then, multiple media reports have emerged around their relationship, including a few on the news that the two were moving in together. The couple made their relationship official on Instagram in July 2021 with lovey-dovey pictures that Taylor-Joy shared. In an interview with British Vogue in March 2022, she again spoke about the relationship and shared anecdotes, like how the two loved doing chores together.

The couple then made their red-carpet debut by appearing together at the CAA Pre-Oscar party and the Oscars Vanity Fair afterparty, which left fans gushing uncontrollably.

Before becoming engulfed in this swirl of romance, the actor did struggle with a rough patch. She opened up about it in an interview with Vanity Fair in 2019, where the Peaky Blinders actress addressed her devastating breakup.

Taylor-Joy’s beau McRae is a musician and part of the band, More The Band. The artiste is quite active on social media and has interestingly also had an acting stint with a short film called Brotherly, of which he was a part at the age of 12.
