Laal Singh Chaddha is finally arriving in theatres after a wait of four long years. The Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer first released two songs that were instantly loved by fans, and now the much-awaited trailer of the film is also out. Aamir Khan unveiled the trailer during the IPL 2022 finale yesterday, and we sure are excited to watch the film.

The film, which is an official adaptation of Tom Hank’s Forrest Gump, is like ‘a box of chocolates’, with a range of emotions from happy to sad. The trailer follows the life of Laal, a simple man, and his many adventures. While there are many things that make Laal Singh Chaddha different, it is the iconic line with a desi twist that caught our attention. Instead of chocolates, Khan is seen comparing life to a golgappa. We are delighted to see Kareena Kapoor on screen, and the two actors paired opposite each other once again.

Ever since the trailer hit was made public, Twitter has been discussing it in detail. Khan, being a perfectionist, made sure the trailer would be well received by the audience. Soon messages praising the cast, the trailer and Khan came flooding in:

Here’s what Twitter had to say about the trailer:

When the songs were released, it wasn’t accompanied by music videos. This was done intentionally to highlight the music and the lyrics. Talking about the same, Khan had said, “I truly believe that the songs in Laal Singh Chaddha are the soul of the film and this album has some of my career’s best songs.

It was a very intentional decision to put Pritam, Amitabh (Bhattacharya), the singers, and technicians in the spotlight because not only do they deserve to be centre stage but also the music deserves its due credit. I can’t wait to see how audiences react to the music that the team has poured their heart and soul into.”

Laal Singh Chaddha which releases on August 11th, also stars Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya.
