Eleven Shows To Watch Now That You Have Binge-Watched Money Heist
The last season of La Casa De Papel, more popularly known as Money Heist, has premiered and left many of us awestruck already. But it has also left us with a gaping hole that only a good show can fill. Here is a list compiled for you to venture your possible alternatives.

- Killing Eve
Chances are, you have heard someone rave about the show, if you have not seen it already.
This is another show where you are forced to ponder over what you believe is good and what is bad. The series follows a British intelligence investigator tasked with capturing a psychopathic assassin.
Known to have a similar plot to Money Heist, we follow as the protagonist avenges his innocent yet framed father as he steals from the Louvre, no less. The title of the French mystery thriller is inspired by and named after the literary character, Arsène Lupin, a fictional gentleman thief and master of disguise
- Prison Break
As Adrenaline inducing as the show is, it has more in common with Money Heist than the action. Prison Break is known to be impeccable, from the music to acting, everything is a testament to the attention to detail on the end of the creators. The show is about a man who gets himself sent to prison so he can plan how t break his brother out.
This show, inspired by the 1996 film of the same name, is an anthology. Each of the four seasons follow a brand-new narrative, the only commonality being somehow linked to the Midwest, USA. This is another show with wonderful cinematography and a screenplay that doesn’t lose the audience’s interest for a second.
There is a good chance that you have seen the show already. Maybe your friends ¿Plata o Plomo? -ed you into watching the show. Whatever the case, if it has been while, this is a good chance to binge-watch a few (or all) episodes of the show again, and no better time than now if you would be watching for the first time. Brownie points if you watch it with the original Spanish audio!
Another thematically similar and popular show for you could be Breaking Bad.
- Peaky Blinders (Sherlock)
Another popular show you definitely at least know of, this historical crime drama is perfect with its five seasons to distract you from the Money Heist shaped hole in your heart.
Another good choice would be any (or all) hour-and-a-half long episode(s) of Sherlock.
Baby is an Italian teen drama created for Netflix. By day, Chaira is a promising student at a private school in Rome but by nightfall she is a part of a scandalous night-life. The show is about loyalty, friendship and things spinning out of control.
Another show on similar lines as Baby is Elite, a Spanish drama where a clash amongst the wealthy and the rest at an elite private school turns into murder.
- White lines
In another show created by Álex Pina, just like Money Heist, we follow our protagonist as they investigate their missing brother in Ibiza. The show was cancelled after the very first season but is worth a watch nonetheless.
At the centre of the show is another charismatic character, how much you could empathise with him is another question. The mysterious Dr Hannibal Lecter, a forensic psychiatrist, has his way to rub the police another way, keeping the curtains over his dark need for human flesh and blood.
- Night Stalker: The Hunt For a Serial Killer
If the thrill of the show is what you primarily miss, some true crime might be a great pick for you. This is a documentary series about the serial killer with a series of seemingly disconnected murders and sexual assaults in his wake that terrorised Los Angeles in 1985. Another good option, though a little different from the theme, can be Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel.
