Jennifer Aniston shared a picture of her Christmas celebrations on her Instagram stories. She had shared a picture of a Christmas tree ornament which had the words ‘our first pandemic’ written on it. This move turned into receiving major backlash from people on the internet.
Aniston didn’t write a caption or even identify if the ornament as hers, but people on social media assumed it was and that resulted in some people accusing the actress of being insensitive and offensive to the many people who have lost their loved ones to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Most of her fans defended her and said she was just acknowledging what has happened while some pointed out that she’s been encouraging her millions of followers to wear mask and shop at small businesses.
