Netflix Shares The First Look Of Tim Burton's Netflix Show 'Wednesday'
Fans Are Upset About The New Addams Family Cast From Netflix’s Series ‘Wednesday’

The series’ teaser drops tomorrow

Cartoonist Charles Addams introduced the world to The Addams Family, which first appeared in the pages of The New Yorker in 1983. Since then, the cartoon has taken many forms. From the 1960s-era TV show to the big-budget 1990s movies, the cartoons got immensely popular worldwide. Followed by a 2010 Broadway musical after this and two very recent offbeat CG-animated features, a new Netflix series is coming the audiences’ way. Titled Wednesday, the makers shared the first look of the series today.

The story will be centered on the family’s sinister and only daughter – Wednesday. Netflix introduced the audience to her family with Catherine Zeta-Jones as matriarch Morticia, Luis Guzmán essaying the role of Gomez, and Isaac Ordonez as the unfortunate brother, Pugsley. Jenna Ortega has taken up the role of the eponymous Wednesday in the Netflix series.

The story revolves around a number of murders that haunt the small town where Wednesday has been sent to attend school. While the town fears what’s coming next for them, Nevermore Academy, a prestigious boarding school for outcasts is soothing for Wednesday, who has never found death and decay unsettling.

The first look seems impressive but not many are happy about the casting. Fans were quick to point out that it was a ‘serious missed opportunity’ and the cast could have been more on-point. People on Twitter even suggested names like Oscar Isaac , Antonio Banderas and others for the titular role of Gomez in the series.
