Actor Rajkummar Rao has been all praise for Priyanka Chopra, his The White Tiger co-star. The actress plays Rao’s wife in the movie which also stars actor Adarsh Gourav. The White Tiger has earned mixed to good reviews ever since it hit theatres.
The White Tiger is directed by renowned director Ramin Bahrani and is based on Aravind Adiga’s 2008 novel of the same name. While the film released in theatres on the 13th of January, it will release officially on Netflix on the 22nd of this month.
“Priyanka is phenomenal. She is a very chilled out person, a global star who never made us feel that she was the biggest star on our set. I have always been a big admirer of her work. It’s fun to work with great actors as it enhances your performance and Priyanka did just that to me. She even helped me out in my scenes. I look forward to working with her more and hopefully, it will happen soon,” Rajkummar Rao told The Times of India.
Recently, the actor shared a behind-the-scenes video with PC where he is seen interviewing her and asking some hilarious questions which receive some equally hilarious responses.
“#BTS When Chulbuli Pinki and Albela Ashok went out to dinner. #TheWhiteTiger @priyankachopra,” the actor wrote in his caption while sharing the video.
“Which Hajmola (digestive medicated tablet) do you like the most?” Rao asks his co-star, to which Priyanka Chopra laughs and says: “Albela aam and chulbuli imli (mango and tamarind flavours).”
The actor then goes on to ask her if she likes paan.
“I like Pan Pasand (paan flavoured toffee) more than paan,” Chopra says, laughing.
The film tells the tale of Balram Halwai, a cunning and ambitious man who uses his wits to rise from the post of a driver to a successful entrepreneur. “Society has trained Balram to be one thing — a servant — so he makes himself indispensable to his rich masters. But after a night of betrayal, he realizes the corrupt lengths they will go to trap him and save themselves. On the verge of losing everything, Balram rebels against a rigged and unequal system to rise up and become a new kind of master,” the Netflix summary reads.
