Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays the lead in the movie, is also a long-time friend of Jaeger-LeCoultre so it should comes as no surprise that there will be a few scenes that will showcase the watch.
According to the brand, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra-Thin Perpetual Calendar watch, which was seen in the 2016 Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange movie, makes it to the sequel as well and it will play an intrinsic part in the story of the title character. “An essential reference at several key points during Doctor Strange’s journey into the mystic arts, the watch serves as a tangible reminder of meaningful events from the character’s past and present,” mentions the brand’s official press release.

The watch is powered by Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Calibre 868 completed with fine-watchmaking decoration such as Côte de Genève striping, perlage (circular graining), and polished and bevelled edges. All of these intricate details on the movement can be viewed via the open sapphire caseback.
